"Wow, this book, folks... The first word that comes to mind is WOW!!! Within just a few minutes, I was completely captivated by Caroline's story and especially by the incredibly cool and fearless Livia Falk. The book is an irresistible mix of Swedish history, eerie creatures, and fast-paced adventures. The dark dystopian world is skillfully crafted, and the characters we encounter feel both alive, vivid, and, in many cases, quite unsettling."
"Oh, I liked it very much. Caroline is a pro at expressing emotions through words, all those big and stormy feelings. I'm drawn so strongly into every movement the characters make. The book is full of magic, love, hatred, close combat, courage, hope, and beautiful things. I like that the chapters are short; they really drive the reading forward, and it’s so quick to finish this gem."
"I’m in ecstasy over how good, exciting, and charming The Red Raven is. Every little detail, every sentence, every event, and every character is woven together to create the best fantasy book I’ve ever read. The Red Raven swept me away. I honestly didn’t want it to end! I want more! More books about Livia, Marco, Skog, Elsa, Felicia, and Britta! I really got hooked on Caroline Hurtig’s writing style, her beautifully detailed characters, and her wonderful creativity in world-building. I loved every detail of The Red Raven. This incredible book will stay in my heart, and I will certainly re-read The Red Raven in the future."
"A dystopian Gothenburg I’d love to read more about. I truly think Caroline has captured the essence of Gothenburg and created a sense of traveling back in time, even though it's a fictional story. Livia is a tough protagonist, and it’s a pure joy to follow her journey through Europe. The conversations between her and Marco had me laughing out loud, while the feelings that blossomed between them warmed me from within. A perfect urban fantasy with a hint of romance."
