A Study in Magic
This dark academia blends morally charged dilemmas and slow-burning relationships, with protagonists who are flawed, compelling, and intensely human—even in a world of magic and vampires.
In the shadowed halls of Sinclair’s University for Magicians in Edinburgh, forbidden bloodlines and deadly secrets collide, and desire can be as dangerous as magic.
Freja, born of her mother’s forbidden magic, is shunned by vampires and magicians alike. Accepted into Sinclair’s University, she hopes to find her place in a world that rejects her, while confronting treacherous alliances, deadly secrets, and the responsibilities of her magical heritage. Along the way, she discovers that love—both passionate and dangerous—can challenge her sense of self and the choices she must make.
A Study in Magic is a gothic urban fantasy filled with dark mysteries, vampires, magicians, and dangers in central Edinburgh. The first standalone part in a series.

Even when the knife's edge glistens in the light of the candle, before the blood begins to flow and stain the sheets red, Signe knows that it is over. Life. She has known it for a long time. She has seen it in her husband's eyes, twisted by rage and hatred. At the last moment, she is offered a new life. A life she would never have accepted but which now becomes her only chance.
She wakes up in an Uppsala unlike the one she grew up in, with feelings so strong that they cannot be repressed. Vengeance, but also something else. A heat she has long tried to ignore but which now surfaces.
