The Countess is a historical urban fantasy set in a gothic backdrop, about the creatures that lurk in the shadows and how true love can heal a broken heart.

Even when the knife's edge glistens in the light of the candle, before the blood begins to flow and stain the sheets red, Signe knows that it is over. Life. She has known it for a long time. She has seen it in her husband's eyes, twisted by rage and hatred. At the last moment, she is offered a new life. A life she would never have accepted but which now becomes her only chance.

She wakes up in an Uppsala unlike the one she grew up in, with feelings so strong that they cannot be repressed. Vengeance, but also something else. A heat she has long tried to ignore but which now surfaces.
